Picture Framing FAQs
What types of framing services do you offer?
We offer a comprehensive range of custom framing services, including fine art framing, preservation framing, conservation framing, canvas stretching, shadowboxes, memorabilia boxes, fabric-wrapped mats and liners, fillets, closed-corner frames, dry mounting, shrink-wrapping, and frame repair.
Can you frame artwork for my home or office?
Absolutely. We specialize in custom framing for both home décor and corporate/business settings. Whether you're displaying personal artwork at home or framing awards, certificates, and artwork for your office, our team can create a polished, professional result.
Do you offer canvas stretching?
Yes. Our canvas stretching service uses high-quality materials and professional techniques to ensure your canvas stays flat and taut over time, giving your artwork the presentation it deserves.
Can you repair a damaged or broken frame?
Yes. Our frame repair service can restore damaged frames to their original condition, from minor touch-ups and refinishing to full frame restoration.
What materials do you use for framing?
We work with a wide range of materials, including wood, metal, and acrylic frames. We carry frame molding from over 20 suppliers — including Roma, LarsonJuhl, Bella Moulding, Nielson Metals, and many more — as well as mats and fabrics from Crescent, Bainbridge, Peterboro, and Artique.
How do you protect artwork from UV light and aging?
We use acid-free mats and backing along with UV-protective glass options to shield your artwork from fading, humidity, and temperature fluctuations. For rare or valuable pieces, we offer museum-quality conservation framing materials and techniques.
What is the difference between preservation and conservation framing?
Preservation framing uses acid-free materials and UV-protective glazing to protect artwork from everyday environmental damage — ideal for photos, prints, and cherished pieces. Conservation framing goes further, using museum-quality materials and reversible techniques to protect and restore rare, valuable, or historically significant artwork.
